Welcome to Heritage Community Church! 

Established in 1870 by Freedom Seekers of African descent, Heritage Community has always been a place of acceptance, security and identity for peoples of all cultures and diversity .  The present church is the third to be erected on this site and has been designated August 20, 2023 as a Heritage Site of Historical and Cultural Significance.  

 

Originally based on Wesleyan Methodist doctrine, we are community focused, recognizing God as Creator and His Son, Jesus Christ, as Saviour.  Heritage Community has been blessed with two wonderful pastors who alternate on Sunday mornings ---
Rev. John Kenyon and Rev. Shawn Ankenmann.
